Phoenix News: U. S. PGA Tour Stop Will Be The New Sponsor For The Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ – PGA Tour has its third new title sponsor, a statement that the Waste Management Phoenix Open will be displayed again in 2010.

Office of Waste Management replaces the FBI announced it would not renew his contract earlier this year for the next year as title sponsor of the fourth oldest tournament on the calendar U. S. PGA Tour – without a golf major.

The event, long a favorite of the crowd, to be known as the Waste Management Phoenix Open. It will be held February 25-28, TPC Scottsdale, a suburb of Phoenix.

The Tour of the United States has already found new sponsors for the season opener at Kapalua (Championship SBS) and a new tournament in West Virginia (Greenbrier Classic).

Terms of the deal six years have not been disclosed. The tournament lasts a few weeks later than usual next year, but should return to its usual location on the same weekend as the Super Bowl National Football League in 2010.

Waste Management, based in Houston, is the largest company of its kind in North America.

David Aardsma, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Waste Management said it planned to make this event a “green roof PGA Tour tournament,” said the recycling company and public awareness of this question.
