Samuel Dieteman, the second defendant in the Phoenix area serial recording of the event was to live in a prison environment.
Dieteman, 33, and his partner Dale Hausner shot pedestrians, cyclists and animals, but were arrested at their Mesa apartment in August 2006.

Dieteman, thanked the jury did not condemn him to death. “I am very sorry that I caused pain for many, many people,” he said.
Dieteman, never apologized and it is an important witness against Hausner.
