Phoenix News: Intel Capital Invests In Phoenix Satellite Television Internet Group

Intel Capital, which invested unit of venture capital from Intel Corporation (INTC), and two other investment funds, have joined a $ 25 million U. S. Internet Society Hong Kong ,Satellite Television Holdings Ltd. Channel (2008e HK), the company said in a joint statement Monday.

The company called the Phoenix New Media, which operates two Internet portals, news and other services, read Chinese. Phoenix Satellite TV is to retain a controlling stake in the unit.

Intel invests with the Morningside Group, based in Hong Kong private equity investors and venture capital, and Bertelsmann Asia Investment, a unit of European media group Bertelsmann AG, said in a statement.

Intel Capital makes $ 10 million to the company said a spokesman Cao Steffi Invest.
