Phoenix News: Arpaio Crime Sweep Will Meet In Phoenix-Area Paging
Two-day crime sweep led to more than 50 arrests in south-west of Phoenix.
The suspects were different crimes ranging from drug possession to control only arrested, suspended license.
Deputies Office Maricopa County Sheriff’s raided El Gran Mercado Swap Meet around 35 Avenue and Buckeye Road on the weekend after receiving the response of industry experts for registration in California, producers have sold pirated CDs and DVD.
Sheriff’s office press secretary Deputy Lindsey Smith said undercover deputies arrested 10 vendors in the Mercado, seven adults and three minors. They are accused of criminal copyright infringement. Of the 53 people arrested, said Saturday evening, Smith, 24 were illegal immigrants.
This 11-second anti-crime sweep Sheriff Joe Arpaio since he began in 2008.
