No Image, No News? How disasters unfold on TV | Phoenix Content, Phoenix Lawyer, Phoenix Online Newspaper, Phoenix e Newspaper, Phoenix Sports, Phoenix Shopping
As images of Japan’s earthquake and tsunami poured in, the world watched in awe as the tragedy unfolded. But media coverage has not been as thorough in more remote regions of the world. Natural disasters in less technologically advanced areas tend to get less attention, and as a result generate less awareness. RT on Facebook: www.facebook.com RT on Twitter: twitter.com

Maybe we care more about Japan because Japanese companies innovate and improve our lives? The TV you watch, the DVD player you use, the car radio you have, the laptop at work. There is a good chance that it is a Japanese brand. You could buy a French brand, a Russian brand or even a Cambodian brand if they built these items in a superior and innovative fashion. They don’t, and even American companies like Apple that also innovate still use items inside that are Japanese. We SHOULD care more!
tragedy.tragedy,tragedy…human disaster like earthquakes were unexpected events, and even if it happens in a called high tech nations who worship stones wouldn’t give us much images if by midnight like those images of 9/11 where all cameras were positioned in best angles and locations waiting for the event with prepared songs and sacrifices.
@sadieblooming wow..when i saw your comment on the other vid i thought it was a joke..now i see you are just an ignorant american..how very depressing but expected
@MaryGreeley When in Hawaii it seemed every JAP had at least 3 cameras hanging around his neck. I expected far more coverage then what we got. Don’t cameras grow out of Japanese asses?

Beyond imagination to watch ; how it must have been for them to experience it? No words can describe this misery…

Howling Wolfgang
@sadieblooming Man have some manners to the lady you smuck!
I’m always hoping that reporter is going to bust out some AC/DC….. a’ la Angus Young.
@zyeahh Err… they do actually. But they post only “overboard” videos on youtube for some reason.
Japan is the #1 gadget & gizmo country on this planet, comparing it to any other in terms of possible coverage of an event is totally unfair.
tie or not i still want to fuck her
as soon as a horrible earthquake rocks this Earth, a war starts? this doesn’t sit right with me!
One word: Sensationalism.
@salmanforislam
