I don’t care how “iPad like” an android tablet is. iPad has great form factor and should be noted as and copied as a baseline for design. This will sell a ton for that simple fact. However, the android experience in the hardware is the substance that will bring someone back.
@datterboy
I’ve played with the iPad2 extensively and except for the the smoothness, IOS feels like an unfinished product compared to Android. And I can’t tell you how many clients with iPads are very disappointed that some of their favorite sites don’t work because of Flash. It’s a big, big deal to some. Also Android’s UI and context menus make for a far more enjoyable experience when working with multiple Apps and widgets. IOS just can’t compare to that, smoothness or not, sorry.
Easiest way to explain this apple vs. GOOGLE war.
apple is communist Russia where there is no freedom and you have to make due with what they give you which is usually useless excrement.
GOOGLE is The good old USA where we get freedom to do whatever the hell we want to do, when ever we want, how ever the hell we want.
Thats probably why china loves apple so much and probably Kim Jong ill keeps tabs on his death camps with his ipad,
At least The United States is using Android in the Army .
@soniproductionz Hey, if it works, it works. And I’m sure by copying the form factor they’ll sell a bunch. It’s not like Apple hasn’t copied things either. Companies copy all the time. If something works, and it’ll sell, then go for it. I’m sure Samsung doesn’t care they they’re coping, and they’ll be laughing all the way to the bank…
@darreno1450 totally respect that reply. I love what android can do for me but I feel that ios is a more polished product all around for what it intended to be. Limits and all. I love android. Ios is not trying to be more. I enjoy android more as well but I am speaking more on how android might want to think if they want mass appeal on the ipad level. Android is getting better everyday.
Imagine everything you love about android today with the points I mentioned in place.

Beat an iPad?
- Design (hardware)
- Feel (touch & transition)
- Apps
- Performance
This tab covers Design only. And even then, not as full featured as the XOOM but will destroy it on sales off design alone.

last!
I hate you
does steve jobs work for samsung too?
@crazyasian209 Sorry but just because the iPhone isn’t open source doesn’t mean it’s like Russia. It’s simply a company’s product, period.
It’s a PLS display.

Can we see a quake3droid framerate to test the power of the two devices?
The Xoom’s screen is mediocre, the blacks are grey and the colors are bland
But the Xoom was the FIRST after the iPad, so you have to take into consideration that it wouldn’t be as good of a picture.
Tegra 2 crappy CPU
Hummingbird is way better.
I wait and see tegra 3 improvements.
Whats up with Samsung copying Apple? First Apple’s icon and now they’re iPad’s form factor?

@soniproductionz
how did they copy apple’s ipad form factor which is 4:3 and this device is 16:9
I got my phone Galaxy S Super Clear LCD and wow it amazed me so much.
SUPER AMOLED
