@Tempest111 When has he ever said anything about Obamacare saving X amount of lives and then sharing their stories, instead of saying “yeah it has a few good things” and trashes the rest?

How does the bill stop us from getting private insurance? Jesus christ, all it does is force you to get it.
Fuck, do they honestly still believe that we got a public option?

Why are conservatives considered ‘Pro-Life’? Why does their “Pro-Life’ agenda only extend to the fetus?
Why does ‘the party of Christian morals and values’ argue that providing for the poor and the sick (like Jesus told us to do) is ‘socialism’ and ‘evil’? Was he some kind of ‘socialist liberal’?
Why is it okay with conservatives that Insurance companies deny you coverage for profit? But if the government did that, it would be ‘morally reprehensible’? Profit Good! Government Bad?

@kefluv its because they are stupid, its not complicated at all, they are just stupid and easily manipulated they are too self absorbed with there love affair with Jesus to actually be informed or understand things like democracy and civil rights, they are savage and blood thirsty and righteous spurned on by men in nice suits talking about Jesus and taking there money just so they can have a persona “relationship” with the son of a sky god, their 2000 year old rock star

Cenk has been pushing the “Dems are no different to Republicans” line for years.
Democratic presidents appoint liberal/moderate judges to Federal benches.
    Republican presidents appoint conservative judges.

    that’s all that matters.
Bush v Gore? Decided by conservatives – for conservatives.
Citizens United? The same – the case law that will make it hard for Democrats to win any more elections.

    Demoralized? Thanks Cenk.

Shut up and support the BETTER party, in a TWO PARTY SYSTEM.

I hope they do whatever needs to be done to not force people to buy it though. Because I know people who simply can’t afford Healthcare. Maybe with a Public Option things will change but until then the companies that are attached to my friends and families jobs its too expensive.

I agree with you that a car and a person are two different objects; why did you then use the car example for your ‘send people to the junkyard’ implication? Where we differ is on the fact that insurance companies will have to increase premiums in-order to eat the costs of the newly “insured.” Additionally, with increasing demand for health care, and a constant supply being administered, we will see a net decline in health-care services.

Ideally what needs to happen, is for medical insurance to go away. When individuals go into the hospital and their doctor chooses what medical products and services are necessary, there is no downward pressure on prices because the only thing that the patients are concerned with are their premiums’. If no one had insurance the makers and manufactures would have to lower their prices because the patients would be in direct negotiation with them.

Why is it that some individuals condemn bank-robbers for stealing so that they can feed their family, but then flip-flop when the government steals so that they can “help” some of their citizens??

sorry to say, but I disagree
I uses the car comparison to show how stupid it is to compare car with peoples. Your last sentence describes in a nutshell what wrong with your ideas. I am a free market guy, but a this doesn’t work in the health care system. Because you cant negotiate with the insurance company, because if you are sick you are in the loosing spot already. When you have e.g. cancer what you gone do don’t buy the medicine ?

it here is not a regulation, the company can charge what ever they want. Your estimates are wrong because a normal middle class family cant afford the real cost of a treatment. The point of insurance is that everybody pays. Most of the peoples luckily don’t need the insurance, so their is enough money for does that really need it. It seems to be unfair that you have to pay for someone else, but you have to remember that you never know when YOU are the one who needs the help.

@thepoundsmoker Are you familiar with Guns n’ Roses? frictionRx9 does the same thing on any early Guns n’ Roses or Slash-related videos, he talks about how great the current Guns lineup is and how he would love Axl Rose to fuck his brains out and cum in his mouth. The guy’s been at it for well over a year.

All I know is, I am willing to shell out an extra 10% (no more than 10%) of my taxes to go to public health care. You all can disagree however you like but I know that I am lucky enough to have access to health care and I know that an extra 10% increase in my taxes is negligible in exchange for those who are less fortunate than I am.

I do not understand. Do some folks in the US think that they are not permitted to get their own private health insurance? If you do not want to stay on the government health plan then why not stick with your existing private health cover?

    I do not get it.

  19. aznlalaland

@Armatige People in the South are easily tricked by Republicans into thinking that universal health care leads to “socialism”. Let’s just put it this way, people in the South are just fucking stupid.

They are such assholes by abolishing the Health Care reform. This reform would be a big change in US History because it’ll be like another Canada.

The responsible thing for any member of a group is to critique the groups actions to keep the group honest. If you don’t critique the party you affiliate yourself with then you are just as culpable as someone who doesn’t support their party. It’s shouldn’t be all or nothing that’s how you fall into the trap of allowing corruption. Cenk makes his choice based on his personal political leanings and morals. Who are you to tell him he is wrong for that because you don’t agree with him?

    #1272312
  23. TheAnarchoCapital

    @larsbergtube
Also, people that need health-care do not go without, as you implied. People today receive heath-care at a high cost, that is the issue; I should now seeming I have $36,000 a year in medical bills due to my auto-immune disease.
Using the principle that is presented in this video, one would have to argue that we all need food insurance because some people can not afford food. Would it make sense for everyone now have that additional cost?

@kefluv what’s amusing is that the early christian church was very much concerned about the fellow man. everyone was encouraged to share with and care for the less fortunate among them and those with means would frequently donate to the leaders of the church to distribute to the poor. very much different from the beliefs now held by the christian right.
