Grocery shoppers in Phoenix might soon be more money for food.

Tuesday night, Phoenix City Council has introduced a tax of 2 per cent of food over next five years. Customers will pay an additional $ 2 for every $ 100 they are feeding.

Preliminary estimates indicate the tax 2 percent food could be up to 50 million additional revenue for the city.
