darrell waltrip is a damn crybaby. every year he doesnt get into the hof he’s going to cry about it. he doesnt deserve to see himself inducted into the hall. none of these crashes woke him up. he still is an arrogant dumbass.
darrel was a smart ass and he will be the first one to admit it but he also is one of the most generious people in this sport today he is very passionate
DW is one of ythe most arrogant pieces of shit there ever was.. he was willing to do whatever it took to get to the top level. no respect for anybody but himself.
@SlyHobbit hell eventually come to realization… till then i will give him the respect as a good driver that he deserves but his attitude deserves him no respect at all
Im not a religious man but this is still a great story. Even when its not fox sports covering it ill still say the: ‘boogity boogity boogity’ at the drop of the green flag
Only problem I have with Darrell: Either commentate or be a sponsor representative… don’t do both. Him and Michael need to stop plugging sponsors left and right… not fair to the fans… that goes for all the commentators / team owners in NASCAR
@MaverickXSE People do care about the true chanpions, the ones who are humble enough to admit that life is not all about themselves. Winning isn’t everything, it’s how your remebered that makes you a real champion!
Yea the only difference is he’ll never grow up. There is to much money in the sport to make him think he’s not mr hot shot and there will never a be a life changing accident in todays cars to make that kid up he’ll just be an asshole on camera and throw a hissy fit when he doesn’t win some meaningless truck race. Some people change and some never change kyle busch will never change
@latinahoney123 People didn’t like him because he was very cocky and arrogant early in his career. Darrell won a lot of races and got very big headed and wasn’t afraid to let people know it. Nascar fans are different than other sports fans, we tend to cheer more for the underdog, the small guy, the nice guy. Because Nascar fans can relate in a lot of ways to the drivers. Drivers that are cocky are disliked by fans even if they win. Kind of like today and Kyle Busch.
i like Darrell always have..i think he just grew up,and its not a entity that changed him..everyone likes to say God this and that…naaaa you grew up dude, had a bad wreak and it woke you up..bottomline..he has a huge heart great guy..
@RacingsTruth naa they come to them..its the name they want..big checks always makes one go in a direction..these guys dont need sponsors..lol..hell they been multimillionaires for a very long time..i mean its like any sport all the big stars end up doing this..its the norm..just my thought on that
I actually liked DW as a driver, but he is one of the worst announcers in NASCAR history. He is not humble, he still thinks it’s all about him. Ned and Benny made it about the sport and the drivers on the track. DW looks for ways to make it about himself. I wish he would get out of the booth and back into the car.

I’m not familiar with racing, why did people hate him so much was he mean to everyone or what? I dont get it.
@zeidy388 Dale Junior is one classy guy! His Daddy would be / IS proud of him for sure!
There was a praying wife in this story! Your prayers are powerful ladies! They can change the world!
Kyle Busch needs to see this video.

Is he saying his 83 crash changed his style? Hmm what about the tip on Davey in years later the caused Davey to flip?
Kyle Busch needs to be strapped to a chair in a padded room and forced to watch this several hundred times over. Amazing driver, terrible person.

I was at the 1989 Daytona 500. Everybody was cheering DW on as he won the race. I was a great moment..
