Yes it is. For lineman, the taller you are, the longer your arms are so you can get your hands on the other guy before he even gets to you. For a quarterback, the taller you are the more you can see down the field over the lineman. For a receiver, the taller you are the higher you can go up to catch a ball. The only position that doesn’t have a strategic advantage to be taller, is running back.

“Watch the crack block by Ben Cotton. He is a tight end lined up in the backfield. Almost……..just absolutely put the………great cut block on Aldon Smith.”
Cunningham you are a joke of a commentator. Go do something better with your life, like calling 4th grade girls gymnastics. What an idiot, he doesn’t even know what a crack block is and he is calling college football games.
@HazelParsifal Flagrant? no. Cheap? no. I LOVE THE WAY WE HIT. It’s football man. Yes the eric martin hit was a little to much. But that hit on gabbert was entirely his fault. You duck your head. You pay the consequences.
@HazelParsifal oh go fuck yourself. a couple years ago helmet to helmet was considered a great hit. you guys including beebe and the big 12 are just mad that nebraska is dominating and it sickens you to death and u’ll do anything to take nebraska’s dominance away before we leave to the big 10.
@badboyhusker: Like Okie State nearly needed for Andrew Hudson? Badboy? What? Taking cheap shots when people aren’t looking makes you the tough guy?
Fine. You beat OSU. You beat Mizzou. Just don’t call cheapshotting great defense.
If Nebraska has a flagrant helmet-to-helmet again this week against Iowa State, Beebe should vacate all of Nebraska’s wins this year and forfeit the remainder of their schedule. At that point, it is a matter of player safety and sportsmanship.
@ the 1:40 mark martinez missed reed wide open, niles was his 2nd read, he should have went thru his progressions instead of eyeing one reciever, still a great throw but could of had more, hes a freshman and will only get better

Being tall such as 6ft or over is an advantage in football?
The first quarter of this game was beautiful. We took the confidence of Mizzou’s and literally stomped on it all the way to the endzone.
