Troicki needs to man up. Between the umpires, linesman, and ballboys, the ballboys make the fewest mistakes and all this caused was a let. It’s not like it was mistakenly called out errantly costing him a point.

To me, it looks like he is hardly even effected by they kid being there. Watch him as he runs up to hit the ball, his body doesn’t move to the side, his legs move a little bit, but his body and arms stay in normal motion…
To me, it seems like he would have missed anyway.

He is just a kid , I don’t think it’s a big issue where player talking to referee about this point . Look at kids face poor kid . My all sympathies with you kid , you deserve to be in next game .

This wasn’t Troicki’s fault at all and he should have won the point. Why is everyone throwing hate towards him? It was obviously the ball boys mistake…
@kattahk it’s not a big issue? this is what allows them to make a living. It has nothing to do with the kid and Troiki didn’t care about that, he just wanted the call. the call was the right one based on rules, but was definitely the wrong call and the umpire should have been sensible and given him the point (commentators and crowd agree). I’m glad he at least won the game.

FYI, Troicki, had a similar point the next few minutes but murray was the one who hit the smash, troicki yelled at the boy, saying why he did not do the same to murray and kicked the ball away from the kid
As a ballboy for the Sony Ericsson Open i know what it is like to be put under pressure in front of 14,000+ people. The feeling is unexplainable. My sympathy to the kid for having such an issue over a mistake but we must also understand the player has a right to retaliate over the point.

Give the kid a break. Troicki is an asshole for his dramatic response like i2012 is coming and it’s the end of the world…. Though i’m no Murray fan, I’m glad he came back and punished him.
